RC Celta

A brave RC Celta beat Villarreal (2-3) away in a match in which Miguel Cardoso’s men were better for most of the match. The sky-blues achieved their second consecutive victory in La Liga.

The match began with a well positioned RC Celta on the pitch, pressing Villarreal and moving the ball very fluidly. Little by little the sky-blue team became the owners of the match and the chances of goal were happening in the local area. First was Brais Mendez with a double shot after 18 minutes. Moments later came the shots from Juncà, Aspas and Boufal. It was the Mos player who opened the scoring at the 41st minute with an accurate shot from outside the area.

The second half started with the same dynamics. A remarkable RC Celta extended its advantage twice within minutes of the restart with goals from Okay and Maxi Gomez. On both occasions the assistant was Brais Mendez. Both Bacca’s goals in the final stretch of the match put the final 2-3.
