RC Celta lost in Valencia (1-0) in a match in which Oscar Garcia’s team deserved better luck. The sky-blue team had several chances before the home team took the lead.
The first half was balanced. Rubén Blanco made two good stops in the first minutes and the sky-blue team ended up in the rival’s area after the first 45 minutes. Iago Aspas and Fran Beltrán had the best chances for the visitors.
The second half had more rhythm and both teams enjoyed more chances. It was RC Celta’s captain who was able to open the scoring but Parejo saved the goal under the posts. However, the home side took the match after a goal by Soler.
