Midfielder Fran Beltran debuted as a sky-blue goal-scorer against Athletic Club when he scored his first goal in the First Division. The young player’s goal came from a free-kick, a corner kick from captain Hugo Mallo that Maxi Gomez flicked on to the far post, where Beltran waited to push it to the back of the net. His first goal with the Celta jersey was not enough to get points against the Basque team. “I’ll always remember this day, but I leave with a bittersweet taste,” he said in the press zone after the defeat.
