Spectacular match by Celta against Real Madrid. The sky-blues displayed hustle and high-class play in a very demanding match in which they could almost end up with three points. The first half was electric and face to face and it ended with three goals scored in just five crazy minutes of play. Daniel Wass opened the scoreboard with a gorgeous chip shot and then Bale scored twice unexpectedly turning the scoreboard around.
After half-time and despite the exhaustion, Celta took control of the match and fought hard for the comeback. Real Madrid despite not having its best day, gave the feeling of danger every time it moved the ball around. With 8 minutes left to go in the match, Wass assisted Maxi Gomez for a header hitting the back of the net. Balaidos shook with joy and got even after Iago Aspas had missed a penalty kick several minutes earlier (the first one he gets stopped after scoring 11). Celta closed the complicated first week of 2018 with to 2-2 draws against two powerhouses like FC Barcelona and Real Madrid.
