The Celta Foundation collaborates with sports equipment in El Salvador

RC Celta

The school of the neighborhood of La Chacra in San Salvador received last week sports material from the RC Celta donated by the Celta de Vigo Foundation. This material corresponding to the lower categories has been given to the participants of this school, located in one of the most depressed neighborhoods of the Salvadoran capital.

This collaboration has been received with great enthusiasm by both the youngest and their coaches. Specifically, one of them has sent a letter of thanks to the club and its foundation for the collaboration:

“I’m Nico and I write from El Salvador. Here I send some pictures of some of the guys I’m helping out with, they’re from the neighborhood of La Chacra, the most troubled and impoverished neighborhood in San Salvador. Taking these children out of the street is essential so that they do not get into gangs and do not engage in crime, and with football we are getting things especially in terms of prevention.

I call them affectionately the Real Club Celta de la Chacra. For me it is a matter of pride to be able to bring Celta here and I want to thank the Celtic Foundation for all the help it has given us, as you can see this gives a lot of meaning to your work. The children have been happy to see the uniforms that I have brought them, for them it is something they will never forget and they could never be allowed and of course now they are all from Celta.

See the faces of happiness they have is for all of us to feel very happy and give meaning to the work we do with them. There is so much need here that with very little much can be done. “
