Manager Fran Escribá is the new RC Celta trainer once an agreement has been signed between the club and the Valencian coach. Escriba, who arrives in Vigo accompanied by his coaching staff, began his career on the bench as second coach in renowned teams such as Getafe CF, Valencia CF, SL Benfica and Atlético de Madrid, where he won the UEFA Europa League and the European Super Cup.
In 2012 he took the position of first manager of Elche CF, club with which he got the promotion to First Division after leading the category from the very first to the last day. In the following two seasons, the Elche team met the objective of staying in the league. Later he managed Getafe CF and Villarreal CF, with whom he finished fifth La Liga 2016/2017.
The new sky-blue coach will be introduced in the following hours.
