Today’s day will remain forever in the memory of “celtismo”, which can proudly boast that the Spanish national football team has been packed for its next two international matches with RC Celta academy players. Four players trained in the youth categories of the club are part of the squad for the two matches against Croatia and Bosnia and two of them are currently part of the sky-blue team.
Iago Aspas, Brais Mendez, Jonny and Rodrigo will meet on Monday with the national team led by Luis Enrique. Never before in the history of the club, four RC Celta academy players had made the same Spanish national team.
It is therefore a day for pride and joy, to value the work and commitment of the club and the Celta Foundation in the training of players, in promoting a youth academy that has become a reference for the world of international football.
In the squad list provided today by the Spanish manager there is no team that contributes more academy players than RC Celta, a historical fact that fills the Club, the Celta Foundation and celtismo with satisfaction.
