RC Celta falls combatively against Valencia (1-2)

RC Celta

RC Celta lost at home to Valencia CF (1-2) in an equal match played in ABANCA Balaídos. The sky-blue team went ahead on the verge of the half-time break with a goal from Araujo and the Valencians turned the scoreboard around in the second half.

The first half started with RC Celta taking possession of the ball and Valencia CF waiting in their field to come out on the counter. The chances came in both areas and the goalkeepers had to work hard to avoid the goal. A masterful corner from Brais Mendez near the break allowed Nestor Araujo to open the scoreboard with an accurate header.

The second half was even. Both teams tried to approach the area without abandoning their own. In the 70th minute Valencia took advantage of one of their finishes to equalise the score with a goal from Ferran and Rodrigo, near the end of the match, scored the final 1-2.
