Celta obtained their first win of the season against Levante in a match in which they defended with confidence and attacked brilliantly. Sisto and Maxi scored the sky-blue goals in the first half and Morales cut the lead after a penalty in the final leg of the match. Okay made his debut in Celta’s triumph.
After a start with great intensity and Levante overflowing with electric plays and grind, Celta settled down, connected with the attackers above and scored. After ten minutes, Sisto cut through the defense and, with almost no angle, placed a violent spectacular right-footed strike that surpassed Oier for the goal.
With the Vigo players already comfortable, orderly and solid, another huge move came and the team scored the second goal. At the 20 minute mark, Lobotka and Sisto made a phenomenal wall play on the flank, the Danish started off and filtered a wonderful pass to Maxi, who, with calm and precision in front of the goalkeeper, increased the sky-blue advantage. The Vigo players defended well and created good scoring chances until halftime.
After the break, Levante pressed and generated several chances stopped masterfully by the sky-blue goalie. It was harder for Celta to get out because of the fierce pressure from the local team. Despite this, the best chances came for Celta with two shots to the woodwork, from Sisto after a direct free-kick and Araujo after a header, in just one minute.
